Malaga CF, Spanish second-tier club, have decided to terminate the contract with their head coach Víctor Sánchez del Amo (43), effective today, January 11st. The club dismissed him due to disciplinary reasons. That decision was made four days after Malaga CF suspending him following the release of an explicit sex video of del Amo on social media. claims he had been blackmailed concerning the video. Ex Spain midfielder del Amo said he was the victim of harassment and blackmail. The matter was being dealt with by police.
Malaga CF is currently on the 16th place on the Spanish La Liga 2 table, only one point above the relegation zone. The club decided that until the appointment of a new coach, Sergio Pellicer will take charge of the first team.
