Ronaldo Maran, who had led another winless run against Benevento, has been fired by Genoa and Davide Ballardini is the new head coach. The deal was for two years, and later the 56-year-old Ballardini was hired as a replacement, returning to Genoa for the fourth time. He used to be in charge in 2010, 2013, and 2017.
