Namely, Catalonians achieved season highs for both possession (82.6%) and passes (1,005). That was Barca’s best passing stats this season, with Setién’s team completed 921 out of 1,005 passes. It is a third-best ever La Liga passing score since Opta records began. The other two records (1,046 and 1,035 passes) hold Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona from 2011. and 2012. Also, 82.6% ball possession is close to the all-time Spanish league record of 84%, established by Barcelona in 2011 under Pep Guardiola, through his famous tiki-taka style.
