Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has resumed training on Sunday, for the first time after two months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery for a herniated disc. The Spanish international has not played for Madridians since November 10th, but he is not expected to back on the field for another three weeks. The Brazilian-born striker has scored only 2 goals this term, having 11 La Liga appearances. Midfielder and club’s captain Koke (17 appearances, 1 goal) has played one of Atletico Madrid last five matches due to injury, and should be fit in time for next La Liga round, in which his team meet Leganes.
Kieran Trippier, Jose Gimenez and Thomas Lemar are also getting back to full fitness, but are likely to miss the league clash next weekend.
