Manchester City’s hopes of becoming Premier League winners for the fifth time in six years could be impacted by injuries to several key performers.
They are not the only top-flight club battling to keep their players fit heading into a crucial part of the season. Here is the latest injury situation across the Premier League.

Guardiola takes a cautious approach with Haaland
Manchester City were without star striker Erling Braut Haaland as they laboured to a 2-0 victory over Salford City in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
He was substituted at half-time in the previous Premier League game against Fulham, but manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed the issue is not serious.
City have several other absentees including Jeremy Doku. He has not featured since sustaining a calf injury during the Champions League victory over Galatasaray at the end of January.
Doku could be in the squad against Newcastle United this weekend, although Guardiola is unlikely to throw him straight back into the starting XI.
Arsenal defender suffers another setback
Riccardo Calafiori is not officially listed as injured by the Premier League, but his withdrawal from Arsenal’s FA Cup victory over Wigan Athletic is concerning.
The Italian defender was set to start the match but withdrew after the warm-up and was replaced in the line-up by Bukayo Saka.
Martin Odegaard missed the match due to a knee issue, but is expected to be back in contention to start at Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Kai Havertz is currently out with a muscle injury, while Mikel Merino is not expected to feature again this season after undergoing foot surgery.
Villa hoping for some respite from injuries
Matty Cash missed Aston Villa’s 3-1 FA Cup defeat against Newcastle United on Saturday, but should be in contention to face Leeds United this weekend.
The 28-year-old’s return would be a welcome boost for Villa, who have had horrible luck with injuries over the past couple of months.
Villa head into the game seven points adrift of table-topping Arsenal, and cannot afford any slip-ups as the title race heads down the final stretch.
Manager Unai Emery will be mindful that the chasing pack have closed the gap on Villa in recent weeks, raising the possibility of them slipping out of the top four.
United set for injury boost at Everton
Manchester United have enjoyed an uptick in fortunes since Michael Carrick was appointed interim manager, picking up 13 points from a possible 15 under him.
The Red Devils could be boosted by the return of Mason Mount after a three-game absence, while Matthijs de Ligt is not too far off making a comeback.
Mount has struggled with injuries since joining United, but has produced several impressive performances when he has been available.
De Ligt would be a welcome addition to United’s defensive options after spending nearly three months on the sidelines with a back injury.
