After 18 months in charge, Frank Lampard (42) is not the head coach of the Blues any more. Chelsea FC revealed on Monday that they sacked manager Lampard after five losses in their last eight Premier League games, which left the club on the ninth place in the league table. Lampard is club’s all-time top scorer, with 211 goals, 648 appearances and 11 trophies. Thomas Tuchel is the favourite to replace him at Stamford Bridge.
Bundesliga strugglers Hertha Berlin fired Bruno Labadia on Sunday, following their 1-4 heavy loss at home against Werder Bremen and only one point from four games in 2021, which left the club only two points from the relegation zone. Hertha also sacked their general manager Michael Preetz. The caretaker coach will be Pal Dardai, but it is expected that the name of a permanent head coach will be known “in the coming days”.
