According to Portugal portal “Desporto ao Minuto” Sporting Lisboa and their head coach Jorge Silas penned contract termination on the late Wednesday afternoon. The termination of cooperation took place less than 24 hours after Sporting lost a league game against Famalicao on Tuesday. It was the tenth Sporting loss during the Silas leadership, who has made 17 wins in 28 matches in all competitions for the Lions.
As Portuguese media have been announcing for days, a new head coach will be Ruben Amorim, current Sporting Braga manager.
