Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that defender Aymeric Laporte suffered a hamstring injury during Champions League match against Real Madrid on Wednesday. French centre-back will be out of action for “up to a month”. Laporte has made 8 appearances for the Citizens this season in all competitions.
West Ham United
West Ham United lost two important players due to injuries this week. Midfielder Tomas Soucek sustained a “low grade” injury in the league game against Liverpool on Monday and is expected to be sidelined for three weeks, while defender Ryan Fredericks underwent shoulder surgery because of injury suffered during the Premier League clash against Manchester City and will be out for around six weeks. Soucek came from Slavia Prague on loan this winter and has made 3 appearances, while Fredericks played 20 league games this term.
Swansea City
Swansea City regular defender Mike van der Hoorn will probably miss the rest of this season after surgery on a knee problem, which ruled him out at the beginning of this year. Van der Hoorn has participated in 24 Premier League games this term, scoring 1 goal.
