The best ever basketball EuroLeague scorer, Vassilis Spanoulis, is likely out for the season after sustained a ruptured peroneal tendon in his right foot during the European top-flight game against Zalgiris on Tuesday. He has averaged 11.3 points and 4.6 assists in 22 EuroLeague games this term for Olympiacos.
Exeter City (England League Two)
English League Two side, Exeter City, left without two key players due to injuries during the clash against Swindon Town on Saturday. Club’s head coach Matthew Taylor confirmed on Thursday that first goalkeeper Jonathan Maxted (17 league appearances this term) will not be available for the near future, and the captain Jake Taylor (29 appearances, 2 goals) could be out between a week and six weeks.
