Atletico Madrid announced on Tuesday that their striker Alvaro Morata suffered a muscle injury in his right leg. There is no confirmation yet how long he will be absent. Moreover, on Wednesday the bad news arrived related to defender Kieran Trippier, who underwent an operation on Tuesday because of a groin strain. It is expected he will be out for a month.

Perth Glory head coach Tony Popovic confirmed on Wednesday that club’s attacker Chris Ikonomidis suffered a serious ACL injury, for which he is expected to be out between 9 and 12 months. Perth Glory star and Australian national team striker has had 12 A-League appearances this term, scoring three goals.
