FC Barcelona confirmed that their striker Ousmane Dembele suffered on Monday another injury setback, as he was forced to withdraw from training. The France international was expected to return to action during February. Dembele has returned to the first-team training recently, as he is in the last stage of his recovery from a hamstring injury. Now his spell on the sidelines could be extended. This season Dembele has had only five La Liga appearances, having scored one goal.
Turkish Super Lig – Konyaspor
Struggling Turkish top-flight club Konyaspor left without their top scorer, Farouk Miya, after he suffered a muscle strain in the last league round clash against Antalyaspor. Konyaspor announced that the Uganda international will be out for four to five weeks. Farouk Miya missed only one match this term, and he has had 19 appearances, having scored 5 goals. Konyaspor is on 14th place of Super Lig standings, only 3 points from the relegation zone.
French Ligue 1 – AS Monaco
Gelson Martins, French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco winger, faces six months ban after pushing a referee during the last weekend league game against Nimes (1:3), after he received a red card. He will also be punished by his club, AS Monaco announced on Monday. Martins has scored four goals this term on 21 Ligue 1 matches.
