Despite being located on the 19th place in the England Championship table and in spite of that club have a single win in the past 18 games in all competitions, Charlton Athletic signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract with their manager Lee Bowyer (43). Bowyer took over the club as temporarily coach in March 2018, and became a permanent solution in September that year. He guided Charlton Athletic to promotion to the Championship last season.
Charlton is only five points above the relegation zone, having won only one point from the last seven away Championship games, to a great degree due to a large number of injuries.
