Turkey Super Lig: Daniel Sturridge fired because of betting

Trabzonspor and Daniel Sturridge terminated cooperation by mutual agreement on Monday after only eight months. Englishman came in Turkey on a free transfer in the summer window, but his journey ended after 13 Turkish Super Lig games, for breaching betting rules. Sturridge, the ex Liverpool player, has made 11 league appearances this season, scoring 4 goals.
