This season is over for AS Roma star midfielder, Nicolo Zaniolo (20), after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament on Sunday, during Serie A match against Juventus. Zaniolo underwent the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee on Monday, along with repairs to the external meniscus, and his rehabilitation phase will start immediately.
It is expected to Zaniolo will be out of action for six months, which means he will miss EURO 2020. AS Roma and Italian national team midfielder has had a very good season so far, with six goals and two assists on appearances in all competitions, including four goals in Serie A and two more in EURO 2020 Qualification.
