Aston Villa v Tottenham
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert said: “I’ve got to make changes for tomorrow, that’s for sure, because I’ve got a lot of injuries at the minute and Saturday’s (game against Manchester City) is massive for us as well.”
Tottenham will play their third game in just six days and Villas-Boas will probably rotate his squad, he said: “This team has not experienced having to play again after just two days and we have not been given the same chance as the other teams. So we will have to rotate our squad as the players who played in Cardiff will not be involved.”
Hull City v Huddersfield
Hull City manager Steve Bruce could make some changes, he said: “We’re not going to be disrespectful to the competition but we made a lot (of changes) last time and we’ll certainly do that again.”
Huddersfield manager Mark Robins has confirmed he will make several changes with Friday’s home league game against Blackpool in mind.
Manchester City v Wigan Athletic
Wigan Athletic manager said: “There’s no mistaking I will make numerous changes for that game on Tuesday night.”
Fulham FC v Everton FC
Fulham manager Martin Jol is planning to send out a full-strength line-up which could be bolstered by the returns of striker Dimitar Berbatov, defender Aaron Hughes and midfielder Bryan Ruiz. “In our situation I would like to play as many (first-choice) players as possible,” Jol said.
Everton manager could make some changes, he said: “The squad is big enough to be able to give the time to the players who need to recover.”
